GSM Bug

GSM tracker units utilise mobile phone networks and mobile phone location services to report their positions on request. They are useful for locating larger items such as cars, caravans, containers etc for security or surveillance purposes. GSM bugs (listening devices) also use mobile phone networks to enable the user to dial in to the bug from anywhere in the world in order to listen in to what is going on around the unit.

Bug function: dial in to the tracker from anywhere in the world and listen in to what is going on around it. The microphone is very powerful and will pick up conversations and background noises - this facility can also assist in locating the tracker. The microphone has one metre of cable to enable optimum positioning, longer cables are available on request (at time of order only).

The Tracker Bug is supplied complete with a 3AA battery holder. This will power the unit as a tracker for about two weeks, but battery life will be shortened if you dial in to use the bug function (please note that very cold weather may also shorten battery life). A Large Capacity Battery Holder is available in our Accessories section. The Tracker Bug can also be powered from a 12 volt supply using the Tracker Power Supply Lead, and you may also wish to consider a Tracker Power Back Up Lead which will switch the Tracker Bug to battery power if the 12 volt supply is cut.

Included with this item: Tracker Bug, battery holder, full instructions. The tracker measures approximately 13 x 6.5 x 3 cm.

Although this item will work on either the Vodafone or O2 networks, we strongly recommend using on Vodafone only, for enhanced audio and tracking quality.
